EPA Releases Draft Superfund Groundwater Remedy Completion Strategy

Posted on Nov 15, 2013 1:28:00 PM

EPA has released and is seeking public comment on a draft groundwater remedy completion strategy. They hope this will help develop a better method to evaluate progress to achieving site specific groundwater cleanup goals based upon site-specific metrics. The draft document also includes a re-evaluation of the goals if attainment of these goals are found not to be reasonable.

As noted by the EPA, the intent of the draft strategy document is to "... help focus resources toward the efficient and effective completion of groundwater remedies to ensure protection of human health and the environment."
